Biography
Hello! My name is Adam and I am passionate about bringing more sustainable practices to the design and manufacturing of high-performance composites.
As a postdoctoral researcher at École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) in Montreal, my primary responsibility is developing and managing projects which fall under the Marcelle-Gauvreau sustainability research chair held by Prof. Martine Dubé. With the help of our graduate students, I enjoy finding innovative ways to recycle and re-manufacture composite industrial and post-industrial waste. We focus on developing methods with low environmental impact and the ability to produce structures with favourable mechanical performance.
I also have the pleasure of working with Prof. Ilyass Tabiai on a number of polymer extrusion additive manufacturing projects. Our primary focus is to study the mechanisms at play during the formation of inter-layer bonds; namely the evolution of intimate contact and healing of the polymer interface.
